Join Poolesville Seniors on January 20th  @7pm for next Historic Ag Reserve Properties presentation with local historian Kenny Sholes. The lands around us have played an important part in American history over the last few centuries. The fields we pass through each day have spurred economic development, been the scene of battles, provided escape from the pace of daily life, and brought families together at the dinner table. Conserving Butterflies in Your Own Backyard

2022-01-16T18:16:22-05:00

Many thanks to Clarence Hickey for his wonderful presentation on the Eastern Monarch Butterfly. We heard about the Monarch’s long trek from Mexico, and its life cycle. The Monarch caterpillar eats only one thing and the loss of their milkweed feeding grounds have contributed to diminishing Monarch populations.
