2022-01-09T18:52:56-05:00

This trail follows a high ridge on the side of the canal away from the river and has spectacular views of the falls and the canal below at three overlook points. On the trail we ducked under some small trees weighed down with snow, then stopped and […]

Join the 2022 PS! Book Club

We are very excited about the PS! Book Club for 2022. We had an excellent group of regular and occasional participants in 2021. We all agreed that the club expanded our reading choices to include some books we might not ordinarily have chosen but were grateful to have read.

There is no need to travel, and you can join us from wherever you are located. This friendly, non-academic, non-judgmental group meets on Zoom. We have adjusted the meeting day, so it doesn’t conflict with other book clubs.  We are […]

Focus on Photography Pt. 7

2022-01-09T18:09:14-05:00

Written by I.J Hudson

I apologize if I’ve been too preachy in these blogs. My main message has always been to shoot more pictures.  Look for new angles, better backgrounds. Try to show subjects in natural environments, as well as natural light. Try to catch natural situations.  Staging usually gives you staged pictures.

The basic rules don’t change when you’re shooting with a camera phone.  Being creative is not confined to a standalone camera. […]
