April 25 – 27 Countryside Artisans SpringTour – Use the tour map to plan your visit to a select group of 19 accomplished visual, sculptural, and textile artists living and working in both historic and rural areas of Montgomery, Howard, and Frederick Counties of Maryland. Get a head start on shopping for Mother’s Day or Teacher Appreciation Week. 10:00am to 5:00pm.

April 25th – Jon Wolz and the C&O Canal Association will celebrate the 72nd Anniversary Douglas Hike and Dinner on Saturday, April 25 starting at 11:00 a.m. Registration is required and the $25 fee covers the cost of the bus that will take to your hike start point, a wagon tour of Calleva Farm, and a Farm to Table Dinner hosted by Calleva Farm.

April 27 – Poolesville Town Hall –The Fair Access Committee and the Poolesville Area Chamber of Commerce will co-host a forum featuring the At-Large County Council Candidates.  We host these forums each election cycle so all citizens in the Western County can see the candidates up close and personal and get to meet them as well.  6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. April 30th – Riverworks –#FreedomWalk2026 comes to the Riverworks Outdoor Stage on Thursday, April 30, from 6-8pm. Riverworks is proud to host Tony Cohen , the Harriett Tubman Sculpture, and live music from blues artists Jay Summerour and Mark Puryear at a rally to support Cohen’s travel from Maryland to Canada along the path of the Underground Railroad. “The mission of the walk is to bring attention to what Harriett Tubman stood for as an American,” said Cohen. “Harriett means unwavering courage, liberation, and humanitarianism.”

May 1st – Riverworks –Artist Betsy Casaleno hosts her Beginner Watercolor Made-in-Studio on Friday, May 1, from 1-4pm. Explore brush techniques, masking, color mixing, and fun effects using watercolors!  No experience necessary.  Come try your hand! You can also enjoy Betsy’s original watercolors during her Artist in the House Gallery show at Locals through April 19, 2026.

May 12th – Multicultural Senior Services – Activity Center Bohrer Park – 506 South Frederick Avenue, Gaithersburg. Removing language barriers for seniors and their caregivers and connecting them to essential resources. 10am to 2:00pm. Presented by the ARC of Montgomery County and supported by the National Family Caregiver Support Program.

Morning workshops are available for age 50+ Jobseekers to help you during your job search. After their presentation, they will join Chat to answer any remaining questions. Registration is required but FREE. Further MoCo Expos throughout the year will be on Tuesdays: November 18, 2025; January 20, March 10, May 19, and June 16, 2026.
