A creative tableau of scarecrows is on view during October at Whalen Commons for the 2026 Poolesville Community Scarecrow Contest. Poolesville Seniors' volunteers put together a Scarecrow display inspired by the 70's.
The Poolesville Seniors "Groovy Ghouls" display OR104 shows two hippie scarecrows with our "Mister Pickle" proclaiming Peace, Love and Pickleball!
Bring the whole family to see our entry and all the others while strolling through the park. Get your picture taken while posing as Mr. Pickle!
All the scarecrows are on view at Whalen Commons during the month of October. Vote online starting 10/16 through 10/29 on the Poolesville Community Scarecrow Contest Facebook page. Rally your friends and family to vote for the Poolesville Seniors scarecrows OR104 in the Community Organization category.
When voting, do not forget to vote for a favorite in each category, Business/Community Organization and Individual/Family.
The winners in each category will be announced on October 31st on the Poolesville Community Scarecrow Contest Facebook page.
