Montgomery County, MD has more than 20 active “Villages,” including Poolesville Seniors. These community-based networks are volunteer driven, hyper‑local organizations that help residents—especially older adults—remain connected and supported within their neighborhoods, aging‑in‑place. This is the 26th year since the Village concept formed in 2000 in Boston. Village participants consistently report a positive impact on their well-being and quality of life as a direct result of their participation in their Village.

‘Poolesville Seniors’ is a Village within the Montgomery County network of Villages. Poolesville Seniors joined the Montgomery County Villages Network because our mission aligns so well with the Villages concept of aging in place. In addition, the Villages web pages on Montgomery County Seniors Services page help seniors, especially those new to the area, find Poolesville Seniors.

Each year, the Village Network collects data, both numerical and anecdotal, on how villages are perceived and appreciated as well as their impact on the community. The local data is shared with the county council and the county executive.

We would greatly appreciate it if you would complete the Villages online survey for the Poolesville Seniors Village.
