You may not be aware that our neighbors at the KPC Buddhist temple are strong supporters of those living in Montgomery County. In Poolesville they contribute thousands of pounds of food to WUMCO Help, the Poolesville Little Free Pantry, and Backpack Bites. In the greater Montgomery County area, KPC provides support for the Upcounty Hub, Sheppard’s Table, Miriam’s Kitchen, First Baptist Church of Silver Spring, United Sikhs, and the West African Community.
The KPC Rapid Response effort provides emergency supplies to the Montgomery County Crisis Center and Montgomery County Coalition for the Homelesss, and partnered with North Carolina groups, Bounty and Soul, Blunt Pretzels, to provide much needed supplies to support the victims of Hurricane Helene.
