Join us on June 28 at 7pm when we discuss Sierra Crane Murdoch’s first book. Murdoch describes it as “part true crime, part social criticism”. Yellow Bird chronicles a murder on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation in North Dakota, tracing the steps of an Arikara woman, Lissa Yellow Bird, as she searches for a young white oil worker who went missing from the reservation. Twyla Insalaco is a 500hr Certified Yoga Instructor specializing in Vinyasa (flow) yoga. She's been teaching from her home studio in Poolesville, in corporate settings and in elementary schools since 2012. Ray, Reva, and Link will discuss the highly competitive politics, changing development and demographics of the town and county, and area businesses that were dominated by old family names like Jamison, Elgin, Selby, Kohlhoss, Titus, Glass and Dietrick. Ray and Reva Hoewing moved to Poolesville in 1970 at the beginning of Ray’s extensive career at the Public Affairs Council and became involved in his church and the community.
