Join us for a Classic Movie Night on Friday, January 5th at 7:00 p.m. when we screen the 1942 “cult film classic”, Casablanca. Set during World War II, this classic romantic tale of courage stars Humphrey Bogart as cynical expatriate Rick Blaine, the tough guy with the soft heart, who must choose between his lost love and helping her husband escape the Nazis and carry on the French Resistance. Ingrid Bergman and Paul Henreid costar as the couple on the run who just happen to stumble into Rick’s: “of all the gin joints in the world.”
Join us for our first experiment in presenting classic films from the movie vaults of the past. Please preregister for the movie. Snacks provided and socializing is encouraged post film.
For the month of January, we are collecting non–perishable food items for the Little Free Pantry and Backpack Bites programs administered by Poolesville Presbyterian Church, the generous venue host for most of our in-person events. These efforts are aiding food insecure families and children in our area. Click on each to get the wish list.
