Historic Deadly District Presents: The Poolesville Ghost Tour 2025. Professor and folklore enthusiast Christine Rai will lead a hair-raising outdoor walking tour through the center of Poolesville, and tell the tales of dark histories and chilling hauntings associated with some of our oldest historic buildings. Early tour on Friday night, October 24th (7:00 to 8:00 pm) is family-friendly, and will end back at the John Poole House, where a bonfire, s’mores, and hot cider will be waiting. The two tours on Saturday at 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. are even spookier but will also end with a bonfire, s’mores, and cider at the John Poole House. The Saturday tours are recommended for adults and children ages 14 and up. Tickets must be purchased in advance. The ghost tours have sold out in the past, so make sure to get a ticket while you can! Space is limited. All ticket sales support the preservation efforts and educational programs of Historic Medley District. Participants should expect to walk approximately 1 mile and stand for the duration of the tour.

December 3, 2025 – Poolesville Community Dinner
A longstanding tradition, the free Community Dinner is hosted on the first Wednesday of each month from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Poolesville Memorial United Methodist Church (PMUMC) will host the dinner on December 3rd and in 2026 in February, April, June, August, October, and December. St. Peter’s Episcopal Church will host in January, March, May, July, September, and November. Each month, people from across the spectrum of humanity come together to prepare, share, chat, eat, and be one with each other.

The Jewish Council on Aging hosts virtual job fairs funded by Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services. Morning workshops are available for age 50+ Jobseekers to help you during your job search. In the afternoon, 12:05 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., hear area employers talk about their companies and openings and answer questions that jobseekers place in Chat. After the presentation, they will join the Chat to answer any remaining questions. Registration is required but FREE.
