To celebrate Black History Month the Boyds Negro School will be open on Sunday February 22nd from 2pm to 4pm. The school depicts the setting of the school that black children attended from 1895 through 1936.

This one-room historical school was the only public school that educated Black children in the surrounding area of Boyds from 1895-1936. It served grades first through eighth and was solely funded through tax revenues from Black residents.

Location: 19510 White Ground Rd. Boyds, MD
