Join us for our final photography class of the season—an easy-paced photo walk along the scenic C&O Canal at Edwards Ferry with teaching artist Jessica Wallach. You do not need to have attended the previous classes to give this nature photo shoot a try!
Earlier this spring, we explored photography right here in Poolesville. This time, we’re shifting the scene to nature—same spirit, different view. This isn’t just a walk, and it’s not just a class. It’s a chance to slow down, notice the world in new ways, and create images that reflect what catches your eye and stirs your curiosity.
Jessica brings a unique gift to teaching photography: she believes the best pictures come from two minds working together. She gently guides your attention to details you might have missed—light skipping across the river, the texture of tree bark—and helps you build on your own interests, supporting you as you stretch into new creative territory.
This class is intentionally designed for all kinds of bodies and all kinds of photographers. Whether you hike often or walking takes care and intention, this walk will go at the pace of our photography and the pace of our bodies.
You don’t need experience or fancy gear. Whether you’re holding a smartphone, point-and-shoot, or DSLR, you’ll leave with more confidence, more connection, and some photos you’re proud to share.
Register for the event soon to secure your place. Let’s close the season with curiosity, creativity, and the calm beauty of a place we love.
