Thank you to Michelle Roche who led our intrepid PS! Book Club’s discussion of the August Book Club Selection: The Glass Hotel by Emily St. John Mandel. Some readers found the book slow going in the beginning with its seemingly unrelated vignettes of so many characters. The effects of childhood trauma and the notion that “one can know and not know at the same time” eventually link the characters together in a massive fraud à la Bernie Madoff.
