David Adamski was a scientist with the Systematic Entomology Laboratory, Agricultural Research Service, United States Department of Agriculture. After 27 years David retired and became a Research Associate stationed at the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC, USA. And continued to research the Lepidoptera, primarily the Gelechioidea. David specializes in alpha taxonomy, life histories, and morphology of moths, and has a number of published works, including a dissertation on data for over 550 species of moths. He is a member and former president of the Entomological Society of Washington.
