The Market at Deere Valley is open year-round with a wide array of farm-raised beef, pork, lamb, goat and chicken products. They also carry raw milk artisan cheeses (not raw milk), dairy products including butter and yogurt, and local baked delights along with local teas and coffee, honey, spices and sauces that allow you to create your own unique recipes, and beautiful crafts. In addition to the market, the Bakers opened a soft serve ice cream shop window, the only soft serve ice cream shop in the Poolesville area. They always have chocolate and vanilla and two additional special flavors each week. Check out the flavors from Ice Cream Window. Their ice cream will only be available through October 21st, so stock your freezer like an igloo to make it through until it reopens in the Spring.
The Market at Deere Valley which has deep roots in the community, has been giving back to the area non-profits since the ice cream window opened. The workers who staff the window have been donating their tips to a different non-profit each month. During September the tips will benefit Poolesville Seniors to help us provide opportunities for those over 50 to stay active and connected to the community.
