One of the most important things you can do for your children and grandchildren is to be prepared and vote in the general elections on November 3rd. You may have had parents or grandparents who fought in wars to protect and preserve Democracy. Do your part by being an informed voter and take part in our Democracy to ensure its survival!

It is recommended that you verify your registration before November at the Board of Elections website.

Be prepared by spending some time with a Voter Guide and familiarizing yourself with the candidates, their positions and any special issues on the ballot.

The Montgomery County Board of Elections prints a sample ballot that is mailed to all registered voters. Additionally, Voter’s Guides are published in some local papers and placed in public libraries prior to an election. Voter Guides are available by request through the League of Women Voters, call: 301.984.9585 or visit the website by clicking here. Requests to LWVMC must be submitted by September 6th.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan, grassroots organization working to protect and expand voting rights and ensure everyone is represented in our democracy. They empower voters and defend democracy through advocacy, education, and litigation at the local, state, and national levels.
