Shine a light on ways to lower your utility bills, learn about energy assistance programs, and connect with trusted county and utility resources at Illumination Stations & Lightbulb Exchanges at Maggie Nightingale Library on March 12 from 12:30 to 4:00 p.m. Visit your local Montgomery County Public Library to talk with staff and partners about energy efficiency programs, Pepco services, and other helpful county offerings.

Residents are also encouraged to bring old incandescent or compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) to exchange for new energy-efficient LED bulbs. Standard 60-watt equivalent LEDs with a warm 2700K color temperature are available, with a limit of three LED bulbs per person. Residents interested in additional upgrades can learn about scheduling a Quick Home Energy Checkup through their utility company.

This program is presented in partnership with the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Montgomery County Public Libraries, Montgomery County Department of Health & Human Services, and Pepco.
