The KPC Buddhist Relief group is having a winter clothing drive. People have been so generous, and they’ve been making trips to support individuals in shelters (or those who choose to stay outside) with warm jackets, long johns, gloves, hats, and blankets. Jetsunma, their leader, is so worried about the weather this weekend and wants to provide as much warmth as they can. They’ve been able to get some great deals at stores — warm jackets and hoodies for $20 – $25 — and they’ve found a good deal on blankets that should add another protective layer for those braving the elements. Gently used items are great as well.
If you can donate clothing, please put them in the WUMCO donation box in Speer Hall. You can also donate cash directly to their effort by going to their website at kpcbuddhistrelief.org.
