Poolesville Seniors Winter Indoor Pickleball meets in the Poolesville Baptist gymnasium on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for two sessions of open play, EARLY 8:30-10:30 a.m. and LATE 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.. On Tuesday there are two sessions EARLY 8:30-10:00 a.m. and LATE 10:00-11:30 a.m. for Skills practice and Thursday from 8:30- 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. for Ladder Play.
To facilitate fair play during these sessions, the pickleball committee offers this guidance:

Beginning of play on any court at any time: When four players enter a court together, play one game then check the paddle queue. If there are any paddles queued, winners stay and switch partners; losers leave the court and enter the queue. If there are no paddles up, players can begin another game, but all four players must leave the court after the second game to allow new arrivals to play and/or to rotate with players on the other courts.
Continuous Play: When there are other players present either playing or waiting, players play no more than two games then rotate out of the court and reenter the queue to allow for rotation of players between courts.
Eight or more players in the queue: As soon as the 8th paddle is added to the queue, someone is to announce that play changes to "first team to 9 points." All courts will then stop playing current games when a team reaches 9 points. If you have already exceeded 9 points, complete the current point then rotate out, using continuous play rotation.
MWF: Two sessions of play, EARLY 8:30-10:30 and LATE 10:30-12:30. The early session will begin at 8:30 and end promptly at 10:30. At 10:30 sharp, time will be called, and ALL players will stop playing and exit the courts. Do not finish the game, regardless of the score. Players who arrive after 8:30 but before 10:30 and add a paddle to the queue will be considered part of the early session. If you are playing in the early session and the late session does not have sufficient players: You may not add your paddle to the queue for the late session. You may only enter a court to play if there are insufficient players available to fill the courts. You must rotate out, win, or lose, after one game. If there is still a need for players, you may begin another game, allowing late session players to move between courts before joining. As soon as enough players arrive (4,8,12), you should complete your current game and then exit the court and depart the facility. If you arrive early for the 10:30 session, DO NOT add your paddle to the queue for the earlier session. Start a new queue for the next session off to the side of the current queue If the early session needs additional players to continue playing, you may take the court but must exit the court promptly at 10:30 and add your paddle to the back of the late session queue. Late session players: Please be considerate and assist with disassembling the nets at the end of the session or as player numbers dictate.
