Stay Active – Community Activities

The Town of Poolesville is looking for volunteers to fill two vacancies, one on the Planning Commission and another on the Board of Zoning Appeals. Applicants need to be residents of the Town for at least six (6) months and share a strong interest in keeping Poolesville the gem that it is!

March 27th – Are you interested in learning how to embrace and maximize the safety technology features in your vehicle? If so, we invite you to join us for the ‘Older Driver Safety Workshop‘ on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 9:30am-11:30am at the Holiday Park Senior Center (3950 Ferrara Drive, Silver Spring, MD 20906).

March 30th -UMCVFD Bunny BreakfastScrambled Eggs, Sausage, Bacon Pancakes, Fruit & Drinks – Adults $13, Age 3-17 $10, Under 3 free –  7:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Memorial hosts the Community Dinner on the first Wednesday of February, April, June, August, October and December.

May 11th 2024 — Richard S. McKernon Youth Fishing Tournament at Stevens Park Pond – 9-11:00 a.m. All youths between the ages of 6 and 16 are invited to come on out and “catch some fun”. Cost is $1.00 and the event is held rain or shine.

June – August 2024 – Stevens Park Summer Recreation Program – 9:30 a.m. -3:30 p.m.

July 4th 2024 – Poolesville Fireworks Celebration – Join our community in celebrating our national patriotism at the Soccer Fields off of Hughes Road! There will be music, food, fireworks and fun! Gates open at 5 pm.

Poolesville Baptist Church food distribution on Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m. and Bread distribution on Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. 

All are welcome to join the Poolesville Green “Carbon Footprint Challenge” a monthly drop-in zoom meeting on the 4th Tuesday of the Month, to learn to reduce your carbon footprint.
