To help PACC and Monocacy Lions Club make the 2026 Poolesville Day 5K successful, contact race co-coordinator, Heidi Rosvold-Brenholtz , text or message 240-388-5029 for information or to volunteer to help this great event take place.

The Poolesville Day 2026 5K Run/Walk kicks off Poolesville Day on Saturday, September 19, 8 a.m., at the Poolesville Baptist Church. It's a fun event and a great way to get all your steps in for the week!

Walk or run with friends, or volunteer to help make this Poolesville Day 5K Run/Walk another great success.

The needed volunteer tasks are easy and include help with runner packet pick up on Friday evening 9/18, 7-8, in front of Poolesville Baptist Church, and again on Saturday morning 9/19, 7- 8 p.m.

There are also openings for intersection guards on the race route — Roger Brenholtz manages this volunteer activity. Tasks are simple, but volunteers must be comfortable with and able to engage with traffic (usually delivery drivers) asking them to be cautious, etc. This activity starts with a briefing at 7:15, on race day, 9/19. Intersection guards proceed to their assigned spot on the course and stay in position from 8 a.m. to 8:45/9 a.m., until all participants are done.

Any interested volunteers should contact me: [email protected] or 240-388-5029 text or message.
