Waiver of Liability

Poolesville Area Senior Center, Inc. (hereinafter “Poolesville Seniors”) arranges, publicizes and carries out various events and activities for the public (each of which is individually referred to hereinafter as an “Activity”, or collectively as “Activities”).

This waiver applies to all attendees of Activities in any role, including regular attendee, instructor, leader, volunteer, assistant, or otherwise (each such attendee hereinafter individually referred to as an “Attendee”, collectively as “Attendees”).

Each Attendee assumes all risks associated with participation in any Activity; Poolesville Seniors, including its board members, employees, and volunteers, assumes no liability for injury or damages arising from participation in any Activity. Due to the strenuous nature of some Activities, each Attendee is encouraged to consult his or her physician concerning fitness to participate in each Activity. Each Attendee consents to emergency treatment. Each Attendee also consents to Poolesville Seniors’ use of the Attendee’s image and likeness as shown in any photographs, videotapes, motion picture film, or electronic images and any audio recordings made of the Attendee’s voice in whatever way Poolesville Seniors desires, including television, print, and internet websites. Furthermore, the Attendee consents that such photographs, films, recordings, and electronic images shall be the sole property of Poolesville Seniors. If the Attendee is a minor, the parent or guardian approves his or her participation in the Activity. Poolesville Seniors is not responsible for children prior to or after scheduled Activities.
