They’re Coming! They are almost here. The highly anticipated Poolesville Community Scarecrow Contest is being assembled this week. The volunteer group that put together the Poolesville Seniors’ Community Scarecrow display was inspired by Poolesville Seniors’ entry in the MoCo Senior Cardboard Boat Regatta in March.
The “Poolesville Seniors Yacht Club” exhibit BC106 shows our scarecrows paddling on a raft crossing the Potomac River. They may be in search of the ferry.
Bring the whole family to see all the entries while strolling through the park. Get your picture taken with our group or while posing as Mr. Pickle!
All the scarecrows are on view at Whalen Commons until the end of October. Vote online starting 10/9th through 10/30th on the Poolesville Community Scarecrow Contest Facebook page. Rally your friends and family to vote for the Poolesville Seniors scarecrows BC106 in the Business/Community Organization category.
When voting, do not forget to vote for a favorite in both categories, Business/Community Organization and Individual/Family.
The winners in each category will be announced on October 31st on the Poolesville Community Scarecrow Contest Facebook page.
