Do you play a wind instrument? Riverworks Art Center is excited to announce the formation of a free adult community band in the Ag Reserve. The Reserve Wind Ensemble will be for wind instrument players, amateurs and hobbyists, who can play at a basic high school level.
If you haven’t cracked open the case of your piccolo, flute, clarinet, oboe, saxophone, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, baritone, euphonium, or tuba, in several years or even decades, it’s OK we’re going to warm into it slowly, this band is for you!
Amateurs and hobbyists who can play at a basic high school level are invited to join the Reserve Wind Ensemble on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m.
This band will first focus on playing warm-ups and scales to brush off the dust. Our first piece will be a medley of Civil War tunes.
This band will be sponsored by Riverworks Art Center and depends on donations from the community and may also receive a grant.
The first informational meeting will be Wednesday October 11th at 7:30 P.M. in the Riverworks Studio at Alden Farms. 19215 Beallsville Rd.
Bring your instrument!
