If you ever wanted to be master of a universe, you need to watch the recording of Brian Sheron and his amazing HO universe representing the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR). He oversees this technical operation with a sophisticated digital command control.

The setup is HO scale or 1/87th actual size. HO stands for Half O scale or 1/48th actual size. It is complete with 40+ flashing signs, over 2,000 figures, 800 vehicles, and multitudes of buildings representing some actual New York businesses and others facetiously named for friends and family. He modeled Jill’s Music Store, Bill’s Catfish Emporium, the New Rattitude Dog Rescue (with a dog catcher waiting outside), and his father’s Huntington marina. The attention to detail and the hours that must have been invested are inspiring.

Many thanks to Brian for letting us peek into his hobby world.
