Special thanks to Bill “Bat Boy” Turner and Ed “Boy in the Scoreboard” Baruch who shared reminiscences of their teenage careers with the Washington Senators at Griffith Stadium. Both men had a love of baseball and a work ethic that served them well later in life. Turner became an Associate Montgomery County Circuit Court judge and Baruch captained his own media and entertainment companies.

The duo was with the Senators for the 1956 season when the All-Star Game was played at Griffith Stadium to honor the memory of Clark Griffith, the team’s long-time owner.

The anecdotes of their interactions with the players were engaging and humorous. The evening was memory-provoking for the true baseball fans as well entertaining to all.
