We thank Judith Guy for the thoroughly enjoyable presentation of her art, art process, and art studio. Judith’s art is heavily influenced by her most recent move to rural Virginia, resulting in colorful interior and landscape pieces encapsulating the distinctive country light.
Judith works in oil on wool panel, and on her iPad with an app called ArtRage. Both methods of creating art begin with a canvas stained with cadmium red and proceed with painting the negative space around the subject matter.
We were privy to an iPad record of all the brush strokes that made up the final work of the artist which was like watching the work being created in real time. Judith creates prints from the iPad works on her own printer with archival paper.
If you would like to view this delightful meeting with the artist, watch it on our Facebook or YouTube channels.
