Proud Potomac Marble!

We are grateful to Master Naturalist Paul Kreingold for his fascinating presentation, The Lost History of Potomac Marble. We were all so enthralled that we didn’t want him to finish. We heard about the history of the Capitol building, its abandonment to the British and burning during the War of 1812, and Paul’s quest to find the actual Potomac Marble Quarry that supplied the Potomac marble for its rebuilding.
