Even Wednesday evening’s torrential downpour could not dampen the mood of the 45 hardy adventurers from Poolesville Seniors at the 33-acre family run farm brewery, Landmade. Guests toured the brewery and learned about the natural fermentation process and the different beers. Inside information … all the beers are named after family pets.

The farmhouse brews are made using the most local ingredients available including peaches and apples from the farm’s orchards and herbs and natural yeast from the property’s gardens.

After a tasting, some of us sprung for snacks and food with some new acquaintances and conversation.

Landmade brewery is working on their cider offerings which should be ready in a month or so and we can’t wait to taste it.
