Join Jon Wolz on Sunday December 5th at 1 pm for a Pop-Up Walk to the Johnson quarries. They are located in the Monocacy Natural Management Resource Area. The walk is about three miles. There are a couple of gentle hills on the path. We will walk by a lime kiln and by the red and white quarries. The stones from these quarries were used to build the Monocacy Aqueduct. We will need to cross a small stream stepping on stones.
The walk is limited to fifteen participants.
