We celebrated our Poolesville Seniors 2023 medal winners in the Maryland Senior Olympic Pickleball contests but let’s not forget last year’s winners who qualified to go on to the 2023 National Senior Games presented by Humana. These games bring together the top players from all 50 states. The flame arrival ceremony will be on the Rooftop of the David L. Lawrence Convention Center Saturday, July 8. The cauldron lighting will officially kick off the start of the games.
Brian Peper and Jerry Greaney will be heading for the games held in Pittsburgh, PA, July 7 – 18. They will play in the Men’s Doubles (65 – 69), and Jerry will also play in Men’s Singles (70 –74).
For the National Senior Games, players in each age group will be divided into four different skill divisions (subject to change) as follows: Division I – 5.0 & 4.5; Division II – 4.0; Division III – 3.5; Division IV – 3.0 and below.
The week’s schedule will be confirmed the week before play but currently shows as follows:
