Our group of Poolesville Pickleball players is well represented in the Maryland Senior Olympics.  Last year we had 5 participants and this year that has increased to 11 participants from our Poolesville Seniors sponsored Pickleball activity.  The group was successful in 2022 with two Bronze and one Gold Medal.  Some of our players have teamed with players outside our group this year, and we have 12 players participating and hope to improve our record from last year.

The Maryland Senior Olympics were established in 1980 to help those 50 and better stay active and stay healthy.  Participants compete for the love of playing, camaraderie and desire for personal achievement.  Pickleball was added as a sport in 2016 and continues to grow in popularity.
