Learning About Planets!

Thank you to Professor Carrie Fitzgerald from the Montgomery College Astronomical Observatory in Rockville for her exciting presentation “Planets, and More Planets!”. We learned about planets that do not orbit our sun, exoplanets, and the data collected by a variety of direct and indirect methods. The information about these exoplanets increases our knowledge of our own solar system. The comparison of the newly discovered exoplanets to our own planets is raising questions about our uniqueness and our assumptions about planetary bodies. Watch the recording of this event on our Facebook and YouTube channels.
