Sincere thanks to historian Eileen McGuckian of Peerless Rockville for her presentation on Rockville and its connection to F. Scott Fitzgerald. While F. Scott Fitzgerald was never a Rockville or Montgomery County resident, he did consider himself a Marylander due to his ancestry and lineage. Fitzgerald and his wife Zelda are both buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Rockville. This final resting place is actually Fitzgerald’s second burial in Rockville. Check out the presentation on our YouTube channel to find out how this happened, and learn about the Rockville of the 1920’s and 1930’s.
