She's been teaching from her home studio in Poolesville, in corporate settings and in elementary schools since 2012. She also specializes in Chair Yoga where traditional yoga poses are practiced with the help of a chair. Jon Wolz will lead a group of no more than 15 participants from Pennyfield Lock to Violette’s Lock and back along the C&O Canal towpath. The round trip is approximately 5 miles. Once back at Pennyfield Lock participants will have the opportunity to continue up the hillside to the remains of the Muddy Branch blockhouse. The climb up the hill is steep, but not slippery. Mapping Montgomery County’s Cemeteries
Join Poolesville Seniors and Glenn Wallace to participate in a discussion of the Montgomery County Cemetery Inventory. This ambitious project documented the existence of and the historic, cultural, and artistic value of every cemetery in the county. Glenn will describe the process of coordinating the volunteers who visited and assessed 324 known cemeteries throughout the county. The resulting inventory is vital to the county planners’ ability to track and protect these burial grounds from development for future generations.
