General Pour House Trivia Format/ Rules
We will ask four rounds of five questions, and each round there are five wagers available to use. Wagers determine how many points you will earn for each question. They are essentially a confidence level that you have in your answer. These point values only include 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9. You may only use each wager once per round, every round; once you’ve used a wager, you can’t use that wager again until the next round. You will have 60, or so, seconds per question to mark your answer before the host moves on to the next question. You can NOT lose points. You will only EARN points. For example, if you wager 9 but get the question wrong, you will earn 0 points.
During the game there will also be opportunities to earn bonus points. Each round, after the categories are given but before the questions are read, your team will choose one category as your BONUS category. If your team gets their bonus category question correct, you earn an extra 5 points. There will also be chances to earn extra 2 point bonuses for certain questions. Pay attention, because questions have different rules for how to earn them!
