Join us for the first 2024 meeting of the virtual PS! Book Club on January 15th at 7:00 p.m., when we discuss Tom Lake, a novel by Ann Patchett. As with most of Patchett’s work, this is a story of family and relationships. Lara’s college age daughters have returned to the family farm to harvest during the pandemic. While picking cherries, Lara relates stories from her own past at her daughter’s age, particularly, her relationships with an actor who later becomes famous. The stories change the daughter’s perception of their mother and may change their futures.
Bring the title of a book you would like to read or already enjoyed and help us choose the reading list.
Ann Patchett was born in Los Angelos and lived in Nashville, TN from the age of six. She is a novelist, essayist, children’s author, non-fiction writer, and co-owner of Parnassus Bookstore in Nashville.
