Join the PS! Book Club on May 15th at 7:00 p.m. when we discuss the novel “Klara and the Sun” by Kazuo Ishiguro. This science fiction novel by the author of ”Remains of the Day” is narrated by Klara, a solar powered AF “artificial friend”.
In Klara’s ‘autobiography’, we see a futuristic world observed and interpreted by technology, from her time in the window of the AF shop to her life as a companion to sickly teen, Josie, the daughter of a wealthy businesswoman.
Sir Kazuo Ishiguro OBE FRSA FRSL; born 8 November 1954) is a Japanese-British novelist, screenwriter, musician, and short-story writer. Ishiguro was born in Nagasaki, Japan, and moved to Britain in 1960 with his parents when he was five.
He is one of the most critically acclaimed and praised contemporary fiction authors writing in English, having been awarded the 2017 Nobel Prize in Literature.
