Allan Stypeck, Senior Member of the American Society of Appraisers, and Kim Stypeck, co-owners of Second Story Books since 1974 and Poolesville residents since 1992, invite you to bring your books, autographs, other printed material, art and decorative art for a free verbal appraisal on Monday, July 22 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the Poolesville Presbyterian Church Speer Hall. See Allan’s CV and learn more at secondstorybooks.com
Appraiser Allan Stypeck, president of Second Story Books, has decades of experience evaluating collectibles from every corner of the art, publishing, antiques, and memorabilia worlds.
Allan will provide free verbal appraisals which cannot be used for insurance purposes. Check your attic and closets for a fabulous find, Allan’s advice is to look for every kind of treasure, including whatever might speak to a great heritage or be an archival prize.
We look forward to seeing you and your collectibles. When you arrive with your item(s) to be appraised, you will draw a number and your item will be appraised in that order (if you bring more than one item, you will draw more than one number equal to the number of items you bring). Hopefully time will allow for everyone’s item(s) to be appraised.
Location: Speer Hall 17800 Elgin Rd. (109).
Help us show area youngsters that Seniors care! Shop the grocery sales and BOGOs and bring your items to any Poolesville Seniors event this Summer. We will have a collection box or bin labeled WUMCO SUMMER FOOD FOR KIDS at future events until schools reopen at the end of August. Read about this special program on our blog.
