This highly rated film, directed by Nick Johnson and Will Merrick, is the standalone sequel to Searching (2018). It stars Storm Reid, Joaquim de Almeida, Ken Leung, Amy Landecker, Daniel Henney, and Nia Long. The plot follows June Allen, a teenager trying to find her missing mother after she disappears in Colombia with her new boyfriend. Frustrated by the lack of response from the governments of both countries, June takes matters into her own hands using her knowledge of digital technology and the internet to pierce the dark twisting and turning world of international kidnapping.
