Joe Long is a semi-retiree who’s been beekeeping in the Agricultural Reserve around Poolesville for 18 years. He is also a landscape contractor, who consults, and cares for just a few gardens in Montgomery County. He is a board member of the Montgomery Countryside Alliance, member of Montgomery County Beekeepers Association and Maryland State Beekeepers. He has been selling honey for several years locally and is working hard to become “the sweetest guy in Poolesville “.
