Lauren works with property owners and organizations, providing sustainable landscaping services including design, coaching, small scale installation, and project management, as well as operating a nursery offering local ecotype native plants. She is on the board of the Maryland Native Plant Society with a particular interest in the preservation of genetic diversity in our native plant populations. Lauren launched the Butterfly Bandwagon project, a neighbor-to-neighbor information and resource sharing approach to promote and support the use of native plants in landscaping. She holds a Ph.D. in Plant Molecular Biology and is a certified Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional, Weed Warrior supervisor, and Master Gardener.
