Sarah will discuss types of raised beds and growing containers, creation of a raised bed soil mix, placement and planting strategies, highlights of mistakes to avoid with raised bed gardening, and strategies to employ to make gardening tasks easier and more productive!
Sarah Defnet manages the Poolesville Community Garden hosted by Poolesville Presbyterian Church. The Poolesville Community Garden offers 25 raised beds for rent to the community. Sarah is a long-time resident of Poolesville and a life-long gardener who began raised bed gardening in 2015.
