Join us on Zoom at 7:00 pm on August 8th when Dr. Rebekah Taylor, Associate Professor of Biology at Frostburg State University, will help us to learn about ticks in our area, the pathogens they carry, and what to do if you find one. Dr. Taylor has up close and personal experience with the ticks of Western Maryland. Join ‘The Tick Lady’ and learn how to be ‘tick-smart’.
Since 2017 Dr. Taylor has been active in studying and identifying ticks in Western Maryland. She leads studies with her students at Frostburg State University in collecting ticks, mapping them, and testing them for Lyme disease prevalence.
