Join Noa Baum, an internationally acclaimed storyteller, author, speaker, and coach on five consecutive Fridays, beginning May 17th, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.at Speer Hall. This five-class series explores how a memory can be shaped into a story that becomes an inspiration for others.

This series of 5 workshops focuses on exploring the unique transformative power of spoken word to connect, engage, and build compassionate resilient communities.
Through a thoughtful and interactive series of exercises, Noa will guide you to:

- Develop confidence and communication skills.
- Experience the power of listening.
- Discover connection and appreciation of others.

Born and raised in Jerusalem, Noa is an internationally acclaimed storyteller, author, speaker, and coach who captivates audiences of all ages. With a unique combination of performance art and practical workshops she uses the power of narrative to heal across divides of identity and build bridges of compassion and peace.
Noa is the author of a memoir A Land Twice Promised: An Israeli Woman’s’ Quest for Peace – winner of the Anne Izard Storytellers’ Choice Award, the LDS Publishing Professionals Association Award, and a Storytelling World Award; and a new picture book How the Birds Became Friends – winner of Storytelling World Honor. Her CD recordings have won a Parents’ Choice Recommended Award and a Storytelling World Award. She’s a recipient of numerous Individual Artist Awards from The Maryland State Arts Council and The Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County. Noa is a member of the National Storytelling Network and the Healing Story Alliance.
