Join Jessica Wallach from Story Tapestries in Poolesville for an eight-class series on Digital Skills beginning on April 3rd at 2:00 p.m. and recurring on Wednesday each week until May 22nd. Wherever you are on your Digital Skills journey, this class is for you. Whether you want to learn to use your cell phone, iPad, or laptop, you can learn and improve.
This eight-week series starts by asking what you already know and what do you want to learn? Then we will tailor a list of topics to the participants. Each class takes a deep dive into one of the topics while incorporating time for new digital questions. This is a hands-on class with lots of practice time.
Examples of Possible topics include:
- Learning how to navigate online storage such as google drive, to save, share, edit documents
- How to take, edit and send photos/videos with your cell phone
- Leveraging your social media to stay more connected with your grandchildren
- Staying connected professionally after you retire using LinkedIn
- Creating a family or travel blog or vlog (video blog)
- Updating to Windows 11 and other updating questions
- Online safety: how to spot emails that are scams
- How to use your Google Home or Echo
- ChatGPT: how to use it and a discussion on its ethics
- And much more
The goal is to meet you where you are and help you take the next step on your digital journey. Registration is limited to 25 participants.

Jessica Wallach has created visual stories for families, non-profits, businesses, and theaters for over 20 years. Jessica is an artisan and educator, with 15 years as an arts educator and a year as a teaching Artist for Story Tapestries. She has worked with people of all ages, from 2 to 88, in schools, community centers, camps, and homeless shelters. Now her work centers around art and disability. Her goal is to reimagine space as a love letter to the body. As a photographer, content creator, and educator with cerebral palsy, her work is deeply rooted in the body, accessibility, and disability. Her current art practice includes working with bubbles, stencils, and cameras.
