Join Brad Stone on Tuesday July 9th at 7:00 pm to mark the 160th anniversary of the Battle of Monocacy fought in Frederick, MD. It was one of the most important, yet least known battles of the Civil War. On that day, a small Union force hastily cobbled together by Union General Lew Wallace – and outnumbered nearly three-to-one – miraculously held back the invading Confederate army headed toward Washington, D.C. for an entire day – just enough time for the Union to reinforce the fortifications of the capital. Join popular historian, Brad Stone for another of his enjoyable presentations about the history of our nation.
