Poolesville Presbyterian Church, the location for many Poolesville Seniors events, can use your help with a new project. PPC will be completely replacing the playground equipment at the church. The project will be a memorial to Amelia Hobart and when completed will be known as Amelia's Playground.

Amelia, a nursing student at Towson University, was a standout student at Poolesville High School where she was inducted into the National Honor Society and graduated with an Independent Studies Program Magnet Certificate, was involved in sports, dancing with PAA Poolesville POMS, was on the PHS freshman Lacrosse team, and participated in Girl Scouts for thirteen years. Amelia was tragically killed in November 2024 in a tragic auto accident.

On Saturday, September 6th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm PPC will be holding their Big Beautiful Baked Goods Giveaway as part of the Amelia's Playground fundraiser. Drop by the church at 17800 Elgin Rd. to pick up some baked items and make a donation to the playground.

If you cannot make the sale, you can still donate baked goods for the fundraiser or use the QR code on the attached flyer to donate directly to the playground.

Be sure to stop to get a dessert to take to the Chamber of Commerce Crab n Cluck. Later in the day at St. Mary's Pavilion.
