Thanks again to Kenny Sholes for revealing his list of “Ag Reserve Architectural Oddities.” These unique structures don’t fit the typical Federal style of the area. We learned about the Victorian Gothic Nathan Dickerson Poole House near Edwards Ferry, River View near Seneca Schoolhouse, Mt. Pleasant, Solomon Simpson Plantation, and the structure that drew the most interest, the Queen Anne Revival Winderbourne. This crumbling structure near Seneca Lake has found a family eager to save it but regulatory red tape may doom it to destruction.
