The Pickleball trials for the 2023 Maryland Senior Olympics were played this weekend at the Boyds TennisPlex. Poolesville Seniors’ Pickleball was represented by a number of players. Patty Walker and Pearl Morris won the Women’s Doubles 60 -64 bracket with the Gold on Friday, 8/12. I.J. Hudson and Lee Bristol made us proud competing in the Men’s Doubles 70-74 bracket but did not medal.
On Sunday 8/14, Poolesville Seniors pickleball team of Jerry Greaney and Brian Peper placed third, winning the Bronze Medal in the Men’s Doubles 65 -69 ! The winning teams will compete in round two of the national Senior Olympics in Pittsburgh PA. Congrats team! Way to represent Poolesville!! bracket
