Welcome to our newest series, Profiles in Poolesville History. We will highlight local figures who impacted Poolesville history. You may recognize the names. They could be your classmates, former students, family members, neighbors, or friends. All of them will have enriched a life or lives in some significant way. 

To honor Black History Month, we are focusing on local historic luminaries. These folks arrived in and around Poolesville with humble beginnings and a drive to improve their lives and communities. Their fascinating stories illuminate the early struggles and trailblazing firsts for Poolesville and Montgomery County.
